Excuses, excuses...

I preface this post by saying that I'm not one to scream about our season being over after losing to the Eagles. I really didn't expect us to win the game, so a loss (as completely rediculous as it was) isn't all that disheartening. We're at 2-2, which is where we hoped we'd be after four games.

However...

Am I the only one that feels like this team is beginning to hide behind excuses every week? What is beginning to get to me is how the entire team, from DV on down, seems to look at every loss like "We played a really good team, so it's OK that we lost." Listening to the post-game interviews and press conferences, it's like the team's growing into this culture that losing's OK, and we're just going to take it.

Does anyone else feel like the team should be reallly pissed off at themselves when they lose something like this? I would be OK with this if someone would just take responsibility for losing once in a while.

That's a hallmark of Dick Vermeil and his gutless, soft Chiefs teams.

The only people that ever accept blame are kickers.

Well, beginning = now that they're losing this season. I'm sure it's been there in the past, but I've never been here (on CP) to complain about it!

You don't have to be here. Have you ever heard a Dick Vermeil postgame interview?

It's the same as DV whining about the schedule bullshit. I've never seen a coach that wanted to play all the cupcakes and then bitch when he actually had to play a good team.

Maybe DV should go coach college.

I guess DV's attitude doesn't surprise me as much as the fact that NO ONE on the team seems to care. I would just like to hear SOMEONE get a little angry about a loss like this.

Yep no leadership on this team. I would like Trent to grab one of the linemen that looked more like the guy holding a go flag on the highway crew, by the face mask and give him a Dan Marino type bitch fest. Or give Sammy Parkedcar a slap upside the head and say drop another pass and I will kick you in the nuts. It seems noone really cares though.

Ok there's a diference in being a leader and being a jackass...... I think you have a problem seeing that line.
