Upgrade Question

I would like to hear some opinions over this matter, basically focusing on my processor.

My computer runs just fine, all and dandy. No complaints from me.

This is what my computer runs on right now.

1.25GHz, 512 MB of DDR RAM

I looked up information about my motherboard. It shows this.

***************************************************
Biostar M7VIQ Socket A Motherboard

CPU Support
- Athlon XP up to 2600+ (266MHz FSB Only)
- Athlon Thunderbird up to 1.4GHz
- Duron up to 1.3GHz

Support for the DDR RAM can go up to 2 Gigs.

***************************************************

I'm trying to figure out if it would be worth it that I would go ahead and purchase an Athlon XP 2600+ 266MHz (Which I'm assuming it's 2.13GHz).

Would I be able to tell any difference in terms of speed?

Much appreciated.

Yeah, I'm just somewhat cash strapped as of this moment, and I figured the processer is the good way to start it off. So I figured that I would just get the processer, wait for a few more months, and get the other 512 MB.
