Gonzo,
Nice to hear from you here; you're welcome to stick around. Speaking of Morris, you think Denver will stop double-teaming you now? |

I think that denvers secondary is very suspect! We should be able to air it out against them also. Sly's 3 td's should atleast make them stop and think a minute before they throw all of their guys at #88. If they try to double team 88 AND 84, then 82 should be able to kick some but!

No kidding. I was one of the biggest supporters of obtaining Dillon this offseason, but I defended the choice of Wesley since we got him. Everyone was complaining how we took some no-name safety over Dillon (and ignored the fact that we got Wesley AND Morris instead), but I trusted the coaching staff's ability to draft defense. Now Wesley and Morris are two of my favorite players. I stated before I wouldn't trade them for Dillon, even when I was backing Dillon as strong as anyone (OK, maybe not Cody ), and it's even more true now that they're both showing great ability.

After Dillon's latest trouble with the law we should be even more happy that we didn't pick him up. Wesley has been one heck of a tackler, and not only that but he seems to be a hard hitter as well. Morris is a playmaker and the Chiefs are using him like one, gotta love that.

These 2 guys are not only incredible players but they seem to have their heads on straight. They know their roles in their first year, accept them, and continue to be humble. I think we are going to appreciate these guys as team leaders for years to come. Hopefully they will show the KC organization as much loyalty as it's shown them thus far.....

I was on the Dillon bandwagon, but didn't want to give up a 1 and a 3. I would have given up a 2 and a 5, which as it turned out was Bartee and Dennis. By next season, those 2 could very well be our 2 starting corners. It seems, the Chiefs are not only getting younger in the secondary, but better as well. Does anyone miss Dishman? Dennis seemed to learn as the game progressed last week. He's going to face a real challenge this week against Smith and McCaffrey. I, for one, think he'll be up to it.
Bartee is potentially going to be better than Dennis. In retrospect, I'm happy that the Dillon dreams didn't come true. ------------------ Red Eyes Chinn Up. The SitCom must die!!</B> |
