Anybody else know Brandon Lloyd?

He's a wide receiver for the 49ers right now. He was on my baseball for 2 years as a kid. Grew up in Blue Springs, MO and his whole family is still here.

All he's done since he made it is catch TD passes and make amazing catches look easy. I'm sure he'd love to be home.....

dammit Carl!

Yeah...I had never seen him play football. He didn't like baseball much so he didn't try all that hard. Could tell he was a great athlete, though. He went his way after high school and I never really heard much of him. Then suddenly he caught a touchdown pass against us in the preseason a few years ago. Since then all he's done is play solid wide receiver.

Same goes for Albert Pujols! I had to pitch to that guy a few times and damned if he wasn't blasting the ball back then...where the hell were the Royals!? How'd he end up in St. Louis!?

He probably would have broken out this year if he wasn't with such a bad team. He is in his third year when WRs usually start to get it and he seems to have some solid phyical abilites.

Very cool that you pitched to him a few times. Was his swing that good in high school?

As for the draft i think many teams passed on him and he went in the middle rounds. Not sure why but the MLB draft can be pretty damn random.

Oh yes. He was twice as big as everybody and already naturally stroking everything in the strike zone.

Don't know him... but I've always followed him a bit... since he's a KC kid. Seems like he really has the stuff to make it in the NFL. One of the few bright spots on a really bad team.

He was not even the best player on the baseball team.. They had 3 pitchers that combined for something like a 60-9 record.. MOst teams passed on him because of his age, just add 6 to whatever it says this year...

Is 6 the rumor? He certainly doesn't have the hairline of the average 25 year old.
