Anyone else ever had a bacterial infection in both corneas? How long after getting the medicated eye drops does it take for this crap to go away?

Sweet Chocolate Jesus. This is one of the most miserable damned experiences in recent memory. If Bob Dole sits around in the dark and doesn't try to focus on anything, it's reduced to feeling like the eyes are full of sand. Just the light from the laptop screen is painful and Bob Dole can only look at it for 10 second periods before the eyes start watering and have to be closed. Sunlight? Forgeddaboutit.

Tip: Do not wear those nifty "extended wear" contact lenses for 5 months without cleaning/changing them.

Ouch.

Takes a couple of days of drops before you feel normal again Bob. Never ever use extended wear contact lenses. Ever.

A couple of days? Crap. Bob Dole hoped he would wake up better this morning... The prescriotion drops are only for 4 days.

Bob Dole has been wearing them for years without any adverse effects. Hell, Bob Dole used to wear the regular soft lenses for 3-4 months at a time.

The eye dude gave Bob Dole a pair of the new Acuvue Oasys lenses yesterday. When the needles currently in Bob Dole's eyes dissolve, we'll see how those work.

If nothing else, this whole incident motivated Bob Dole to go ahead and buy a new pair of eyeglasses to replace the 8 year-old pair missing an earpiece.

Actually, this crap has been going on for two weeks and yesterday Bob Dole finally decided it wasn't going away on its own. The eye dude actually said, "Good lord...how have you been functioning?" (To which Bob Dole replied, "Not very well.")

By extended wear, are you literally wearing them overnight? Bad idea! Sure they say that's what they are designed for, but think it thru, you've got a tiny piece of synthetic plastic in your eye. Does that really sound like a good idea?

I've been trying contacts...again. My eyes just do not cooperate. I tried Dailies, which are ok. I tried Oasys, which are ok, better than any other 2-4 week disposable I've tried. I also tried the new astigmatism contacts, and they were brutal!

I think Bob Dole will like the Oasys. Not to panic you or anything, but my wife went thru a similar experience. She was told a couple days and you'll be better. Two weeks later, she was finally able to wear her contacts agaon. Good Luck!

I don't think that's possible because a titty bar is not a place he frequents. I bought Bob Dole his first dance for his 39th birthday a couple years ago.
