Poll:Al Saunders return as OC?

I'm curious.

How many here honestly believe that Al will return to the Chiefs as OC under Herm?

I rarely ever start threads, and have never posted a poll, so have a little patience.

There are way too many HC jobs out there. Besides, he is probably feeling freshly screwed by Carl.

That's what I've been saying,

He's been passed over three times by the Chiefs for promotions in favor of Jimmy Raye, Gunther, and now Herm Edwards, respectively.

What could possibly motivate him to return?

I just hope he doesn't end up working against us in some capacity in the AFC West.

Between all the rumors that he and Carl don't really get along, and the fact that he was passed up again in KC for head coach I can't imagine Al would swallow his pride like Gunther did and return under another head coach.

Plus, he has nothing to prove in KC. He's given them arguably the top offense over the last 4 years. There's nowhere to go but down. Why not take a nice paycheck as HC, OC/assistant HC at another team and improve their offense. He'd be viewed as a hero in Texas, NY or just about anywhere else. He makes one arguably questionable call a game in KC and everyone says he sucks and has lost it. He doesn't need, or deserve, the crap he gets in KC after everything he's delivered.

Plus, he's 58 years old, and may not have many more opportunities to get looks as a HC prospect.

I really, really wish he would stay, but I think he's much more likely to leave. Can't begrudge a man career advancement.

Should've voted for the Rain Man option, in that case.

No, no way he stays.

That being said, we had best not change our offensive phillosophy.
