911 was an inside job.

After watching this, I am once and for all convinced that it was an inside job...

The evidence is way too strong.

Really? I couldn't tell. The interview I'm talking about was carried out in some room with the fireman not wearing his uniform.

Sorry, I don't buy the conspiracy theories. Dongers link to the Popular Mechanics article is full of solid science, for those that can be bothered to read it.

No matter how much some want to believe that 9/11 was Bush's "Burning of the Reichstag", that dog doesn't hunt.

Scientific American ran an interesting commentary on the conspiracy theories by the publisher of skeptic.com.

The question is what was is in it for Osama considering it was a coordinated attack with the hijackers and the CIA agents who planted and lit the charges.

Again, that’s distance related. If you’re on the ground 2 miles from a tower that’s only 2 miles, but if you add to that an altitude of 3 miles up, 15,840 ft, you’re now approximately 4 miles from the tower. I’d think you’d still get reception at 4 miles, but you can see how distance grows considerably with altitude.

Yea, I’d give’em more credit if they could actually show’em. Whenever someone just says something like, “take my word for it” that raises red flags for me.

I myself actually remember BBC reporting about finding 2 of the hijackers well and alive. This was a long time ago. The excuse was the evident mistaken identities.

Little known fact, but one of the reasons that they don't let you use your cell on an aircraft is because the RSSI of a plane-to-cell tower transmission is far greater than a call made on the ground. In other words, you'd start bumping the folks on the ground.

Heh, I didn’t know that. I assumed it was ‘cause of RFI interference with the gauges in the cockpit.

Thanks to you and Donger for bringing this back to earth....for those of us who know better, and arent' sufficiently motivated to refute this Bush-hater's fantasy by wasting more than a few minutes of our time.

"The planes did not bring those towers down; bombs did," says www.abovetopsecret.com. Wrong. In an article in the Journal of the Minerals, Metals, and Materials Society and in subsequent interviews, Thomas Eagar, an engineering professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, explains why: steel loses 50 percent of its strength at 1,200 degrees F; 90,000 liters of jet fuel ignited other combustible materials such as rugs, curtains, furniture and paper, which continued burning after the jet fuel was exhausted, raising temperatures above 1,400 degrees F and spreading the inferno throughout each building. Temperature differentials of hundreds of degrees across single steel horizontal trusses caused them to sag--straining and then breaking the angle clips that held the beams to the vertical columns. Once one truss failed, others followed. When one floor collapsed onto the next floor below, that floor subsequently gave way, creating a pancaking effect that triggered each 500,000-ton structure to crumble. Conspiricists argue that the buildings should have fallen over on their sides, but with 95 percent of each building consisting of air, they could only have collapsed straight down.
Here's some of those facts you seem to not want to acknowledge, Metro.
