Springsteen's 1975 London Concert

Has anyone else bought the Springsteen 30-Year Commemorative DVD set?

It has a film of an entire concert that Bruce and the E-Street Band did in London back in 1975, and it's amazing. It's got a lot of Springsteen classics like Thunder Road, Born to Run, Jungleland, and others, all done well by a very young-looking band that's interesting to watch.

They also do some Motown tunes that show that the band can rock with the best of them. They do a great job with oldies like "Devil in a Blue Dress", "Good Golly Miss Molly" and others. Darn good band.

However, none of those classics are the highlight. Toward the end of the concert, the band leaves the stage and Bruce sits down at a piano and sings "For You". I have to say, it may be the most heartfelt, entrancing, well-done song I've ever heard. It'll bring tears to your eyes. All you can do is listen raptly.

Cripes. What a talent this guy is. And he's been doing it for decades.

I got it as a gift and yes it's amazing.

The making of Born To Run was good viewing as well.

It ran about $30 or $35, mohillbilly.

I haven't watched the "Making of" DVD yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

I've been looking for a "best of" collection of Springsteen. I tend to just buy those of artists I like.
