Curcuit City has them. Some work some don't from what I hear. My guess is that the higher the price the better quality youre gonna get. Thats probably not too much help but its the best I can give you.

I think the speakers are powered by an a/c adapter and the sound is transmitted to the speakers by an RF frequency.

If you're an audiophile, forget about it. You sacrifice a ton of sound quality for convenience.
If you just like surround sound, without a particularly discerning ear, go for it. |

You plug in the transmitter that the speakers run off of, you dont plug in your speakers. You can still put your speakers on the ceiling.

I used to have a pair of wireless rear speakers. I dropped about 3 bills on them. I don't recommend them.
But, this was 3-4 years back. I used to recommend against wireless networking as well. Now I'm typing this to you over a wireless connection. Perhaps wireless speakers have improved as much as wireless networks. |

I have never personally heard a pair but wireless speakers are regarded as being pretty shitty. You still have to plug them into the wall and if they run off batteries they will have even less power.
Just run the speaker wire under the carpet or around the molding. I have done that in my past few apartments and its not a big deal. |

Or you could use this stuff to run your wires:
