DTs: Rankings, Profiles, and Scouting Reports

What I'm hoping for here is, that posters will find profiles and scouting reports from the top prospects at each of the positions of need for the Chiefs.

I'll use Laz's "rankings" from Draftdaddy.com, to start these threads...I hope you don't mind Laz; Draftdaddy's are a good place to start....

There are lots of "free sites" with profiles and scouting reports out there....this is the place to put all the stuff for WRs. However, if you have access to a premium site (and you have the right to cut and paste, with appropriate crediting of sources) and can post the profiles and scouting reports of the top prospects, or intriguing prospects that you would like to pimp/promote.....here's your chance.

70.0 Pros: At 6'5 300 he is very athletic for a DT his size, has the power to take on double teams and the quickness to be a very effective pass rusher, fits well in both the 4-3 and 3-4 schemes, could have been the top DT taken last year but decided not to declare. Has the frame to add more muscle.
Cons: Has been known to take plays off, some fear that he may not be aggressive enough to take on the bigger guards in the NFL, Has not been as dominant these last two years in college as he was he sophmore season. Can be non-existent at times. Stock is dropping. Draft Exchange Analysis:
Explosive, quick and athletic young defensive tackle who has started the last 16 games and 22 in two seasons one of the Big 12s top returning defensive players a consensus second-team All-Big 12 pick as a sophomore has played in 26 career games, compiling 145 tackles, 12 sacks, 25 TFLs, 45 pressures, three passes batted down and three forced fumbles recorded 80 tackles, a team-leading 7.5 sacks (seventh in the Big 12), 12 TFLs, 30 pressures, three passes batted down and three forced fumbles in 2003

Height: 6-5 1/8 | Weight: 300 | 40-Time: 5.06
Strengths:
Big with a large frame that he could easily pack some additional pounds onto...An excellent natural athlete...Very quick and explosive with a burst...Strong and can hold his ground...Has great range and makes plays all over the field...Will penetrate and cause problems in the backfield...Has a lot of experience...Might be able to play defensive end in a 3-4 scheme...Still has quite a bit of potential.

Weaknesses:
An underachiever who doesn't always play up to his physical ability...Is not a hard worker...Technique is lacking...Will play too high at times...Allows blockers to lock on...Motor and stamina are very questionable...Has some durability concerns and dealt with a nagging angle injury for most of his junior season...Lacks desire.

Notes:
Cousin of NFL defensive lineman Cedric Woodard and his uncle Elmo was a first-round draft pick of the Kansas City Chiefs in 1971...Talented player who looked like a future elite pro prospect early in his career before leveling off...Has all the tools to be great but must be more consistent...Maybe a boom or bust prospect.

59.5 Pros: IF he can get back to his 2003 form, he's an intriguing prospect. Showed tremendous pass rushing ability for an interior lineman and was a consensus first team All Big 12. Had a solid season this year, compiling 16 TFL in only 9 games started, and still displays great physical tools.
Cons: Has enormous character issues, and was kicked off the team in the 2004 season. Has shown violent aggression and an overall dangerous demeanor that needs to be seriously harnessed in order for a team to take a chance on him. His play doesn't have many weaknesses though, but he could continue to get stronger and better in run support. Draft Exchange Analysis:
In 2003 - Had a breakout season that will entrench him as an All-America candidate in 2004 ... consensus All-Big 12 first teammer ... No. 3 on the team, first among the interior linemen, with 16 tackles for loss (-60) ... No. 2 on the team, first among the interior linemen, with seven sacks (-41) ... two sacks each against Iowa State and Missouri ... season-high six tackles against the Cyclones ... credited with 15 QB hurries on the season ...

Height: 6-2 3/4 | Weight: 306 | 40-Time: 5.03

Strengths:
Tenacious and has a motor that never stops...An excellent pass rusher and classic one-gapper...Has good speed and quickness with a burst...Is very intense and a hard worker...Is instinctive and a true football player...Very productive...Did a great job in classes and received notice for his academic achievements...Teams will likely be able to land him quite a bit lower than his talent would indicate.

Weaknesses:
Has a lot of off-the-field issues with fighting and alcohol...Does not have great size or bulk...Is too aggressive at times and will run past the action...Not very stout and lacks lower-body strength...Might need to be in the right scheme to succeed...Suspended for most of the '04 season due to his involvement in an incident that left someone hospitalized with head injuries...Durability's a concern.

Notes:
Has undergone treatment and received counseling in anger-management and substance abuse programs...A disruptive force in the middle who makes a lot of plays and could excel with the right team...There will likely be a wide ranging spectrum of grades on him as each team makes their own determinations about his character...It might all come down to how well he behaves off the field.

60.0 Pros:
Cons: Draft Exchange Analysis:
*HAS DECLARED FOR 06 DRAFT*

In 2004: An academic All-ACC performer for 2004, he earned a 3.07 GPA for the fall semester ... Unheralded member of the Wolfpack defense that led the nation last season, he started 10 games and tallied 47 snaps while anchoring the line ... Tallied a season-high seven stops in the win at Virginia Tech while in for 60 snaps, he also had two tackles for loss in that contest ... Ranked third on the team with a dozen quarterback pressures.

In 2003: One of the best surprises on the 2003 squad, he made great strides over the course of his first season of competition ... Earned Freshman All-America honors by The Sporting News ... Led the team with 16 quarterback pressures ... An honorable mention All-ACC choice who started all 13 games and tallied 14 tackles for loss, the second-highest total on the team ... Increased his productivity in the last seven games, tallying 38 tackles and 12 tackles for loss ... In for a season-high 74 snaps in the win over Virginia, he had a season-high eight tackles at No. 13 Florida State ...

Height: 6-1 1/2 | Weight: 302 | 40-Time: 5.11

Strengths:
Very disruptive in the middle...An excellent penetrator...Has outstanding strength...Consistent performer who had at least one tackle for a loss in every game he played as a junior...Uses his hands and arms well...Active and does a good job of shedding blockers...Does a great job of splitting the double team...Very productive with a knack for making plays in the opponents backfield.

Weaknesses:
The big question is whether his production was due to his talent or merely playing on the same line as Mario Williams and Manny Lawson...Missed five games with a broken foot in 2005...Never put up huge sack numbers...Can do a better job versus the run...Does not have great speed...Will be too aggressive and take himself out of plays at times...Was he Ryan Sims to Williams' Julius Peppers?

Notes:
An academic All-ACC performer...Was overshadowed by all the talent he had around him along the defensive line but came through with three great seasons for the Wolfpack...There are questions but you sure can't ignore the production
