First ESPN Power Rankings

I know this means even less than preseason polls, but I have a problem with the Chiefs being ranked #14. Let's assume Ty Law signs here:

No way should Jacksonville be ranked that high. They were one of the weakest playoff teams I've ever seen. They are almost all defense. Their offense is nothing to write home about. The Jags will miss the playoffs this season, and the Chiefs will whip them at Arrowhead.

As for Cincinnati, I refuse to believe that Carson Palmer will be ready when the season starts. It takes a year to rehab that injury. I believe the media when it says Palmer will miss the first month of the regular season. With or without Palmer, the Chiefs will beat Cincy in the opener. The Bengals will make a playoff run, but they still have a suspect defense.

As for the Dolphins, they're everybody's sexy pick. The game at Miami does seem a little scarier this year. Culpepper should be ready when the season starts. However, the Dolphin's defense isn't what it once was. The jury is out on this team.

The Colts are too high for my liking. People think that Rhoades and Addai will make us forget Edge. I'm skeptical about that. I'm also skeptical that their defense will repeat what it did last year.

I can't disrespect the Seahawks and Steelers, but I will say that we will beat the Seahawks at home. You know the Chiefs win that type of game. The game at Pittsburgh should be entertaining.

I'd put the Chiefs in the 5-10 range for sure.

I fear Jacksonville. I think we all foget how young Leftwich is. He just gets smarter and smarter, and tougher and tougher.

But I like it when they rank us low, cause then when we win double-digit games, we can be like, "how do you like us now, bitches?!?!?!?!"
