Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

What's with some of you predicting a KC defeat in Denver this weekend?
I'm sensitive to T. Green's injury but for Chrissake people. I come over here looking for our annual game-week smackathon and......nothin'.
Doom & Gloom. Predictions of a Chief loss.

It isn't bad enough I draft LJ with the 6th overall pick in my fantasy league and he proceeds to shit the bed in game 1 and looks like an average RB without the all world line. Now I gotta' watch most of you mope around as well?

I like the title, though I hope it was intentional.

In LJ's defense, I think the playcalling was questionable. They went away from the run too early. The last 2 drives of the first half, LJ didn't touch the ball.

We all know it's hard enough to win in Denver. Now we have a journeyman QB leading our team for this game. It will be a lot tougher than normal. Although, there is always the fact that we can count on Jake Plummer throwing a couple INTs.

People were predicting a Chiefs loss back when the schedule was released.

Haven't won in Denver since......(2000?)

Denver's Home Opener.

TG being out just added to the doom and gloom. Puking all over ourselves everytime we play in Denver started it.........

He did have 140 yards on 23 touches

The only way I can possibly seeing us win is if A) LJ still somehow finds a way to be successful running the ball with nine guys in the box, B) Our defense has somehow found a way to defend the bootleg and stop the Broncos running game, and C) Plummer really has imploded, and he gives some timely turnovers.

Truthfully, I don't expect any of those three things to happen. I will be happy if our defense shows progress against Denver's offense, and whichever tackles we have starting at least look mediocre to average in pass blocking.

No, because Germany never bombed Pearl Harbor.

But I'm still pissed off at the Canadians who hijacked those planes and attached the World Stade Center and the Pentagon.

A lot of people forget that Damon Huard won the starting job over Dan Marino. He's got the potential to be a Hall of Famer just like Marino.

Wow, you got LJ with the 6th pick in your draft and you are disappointed with 148 total yards. Proclaiming that he is an average RB puts you in the same category as those proclaiming doom and gloom.

What? Your QB left the game on a stretcher and still had a better game than mine. You got the blues cuz' your QB is out and I got the blues cuz mine aint.

Sorry, can't cut you any slack for a pity party.
