The wife took photos with a cell phone and called police.

Pierce County sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer says "There's pretty clear proof what happened to this dog."

McPhail was arrested that night.

Charged with animal cruelty, he could be sentenced to a year in jail if convicted.

The bestiality law took effect in June. It was prompted by an incident in Enumclaw where a man died after having sex with a horse.

None of the govt's business.

How does anyone know if the dog felt it was cruel? I think we should put animals on trial again, like they did in the Middle Ages.

Anyhow, sounds like a divorce is comin'.

Maybe he thought the relationship was grandfathered in because they started their relationship before the law went into place, and the bitch was just asking for it.

I'd think I would just get a divorce then going through and explaining that to everyone.

What bothers me is that he didn't notice the wife or just didn't care while she was taking pictures of this.
