Off Topic: So I'm sitting here watching...
...Charlie's Angels (wife gets TV after day of football) and I can't, for the life of me, understand why Crispin Glover isn't the next Joker in the Batman movie. Geez, he would be perfect. Heath Ledger is going to have to act his ass off to pull that role off.

IM fairly certain that Nolan is going in a totally opposite direction (No over the top craziness) that defined the Jack Nicholson interpretation of the character. Thus the selection of Ledger.

That's a great idea. Hell, the guy's creepy and surreal even when he isn't in character.

I think Ledger will be ok though. He's a good actor.

Why not have a Joker who has a sex change and gains lots of weight by eating comfort food as a result of the stress caused by the operation then decides that he/she still likes girls?

They could cast Rosie o'Doughnuts. That would be scary as heck.
