In the beta, they only have to game modes and 3 maps available. All maps are set on Mars so, they're kinda bland. That's okay though, because you can destroy EVERYTHING you can see...
And it's entirely in 3rd Person...

I'm playing my first "real" game right now - I've taken out one competing civilization and have three left. I'm up on them all technologically but they're attempting to dogpile me. I'm about to roll tanks on them, though. Should be ugly.

I'm going to ask in here because I might get more responses.

Short version: I got RRoD tonight. Been thinking about getting an Elite for awhile, this might be the reason to do it.

Question: I am making the assumption that the newer consoles don't have the same issue....but just in case.....is there something I need to look for when/if buying an elite?

Did you go to the MS website to see if your old system qualifies for a FREE fix/replacement? My son's had the RROD and I entered in the code or ID # or whatever and it qualified. They sent us a postage paid box to send it to them...had it back in just over 2 weeks. Didn't cost me a penny. I was impressed. I'm just sayin'.

Oops. Forgot to mention that part.

I actually called - I was out of warranty, but obviously covered by the RRoD extended warranty. They are emailing my shipping label - said it would be here in 24-48 hours and then 2-3 weeks to get it back to me.

No biggie. I knew it was bound to happen. Once I get it back, I can play downstairs or lay my lazy ass in bed upstairs and play.
