Why would Bill Cowher resign???

He's going to recharge his batteries for a year or two. Not uncommon among coaches at all.

I was one of the fans that wanted Cower over Edwards back when there was speculation that he was gonna leave the Steelers. I would drop Herm in a split second to pick up Cowher.

He's been in the same place for over a decade, and has reached the pinnacle of his job.

Can't blame the guy for calling it a day, or just taking a break.

He has more money than he'll ever spend.

And he may just be burnt out. Needing a break. Family, life, etc.

I have no doubt he'll be back though.

Maybe if Herm doesn't work out.....Bill would look awfully good in "red."
