Our QB troubles are over...(sarcasm)

The latest Sporting News magazine (Feb 12th) has a mock draft that has Brady Quinn falling to us.

The Sporting New "War Room Scouts" wrote it. I couldn't find the link, just hard copy- so here it is:

1-raiders-JaMarcus Russell-QB-LSU
2-lions-J.Thomas-LT
3-browns-A.Peterson-RB
4-bucs-C.Johnson-WR
5-cards-J.Anderson-DE
6-skins-G.Adams-DE
7-vikes-T.Ginn-WR
8-texans-A.Branch-DT
9-phins-A.Okoye-DT
10-falcons-A.Ross-CB
11-49ers-L.Hall-CB
12-bills-Z.Miller-TE
13-rams-P.Posuszny-OLB
14-panthers-G.Olsen-TE
15-steelers-j.Blalock-OG
16-pack-M.Lynch-RB
17-jags-J.Moss-DE
18-bengals-D.Tyler-DT
19-titans-D.Bowe-WR
20-giants-T.Jackson-CB
21-broncs-A.Carriker-DE
22-boys-L.Landry-S
23-CHIEFS-B.Quinn-QB

They write regarding the pick:
"A successor to QB Trent Green falls into the Chiefs laps."

24-pats-A.Spencer-DE
25-jets-A.Pittman-RB
26-eagles-B.Meriweather-S
27-saints-D.Hughes-CB
28-pats-M.McCauley-CB
29-ravens-J.Beekman-OG/C
30-chargers-R.Nelson-S
31-bears-L.Brown-OT
32-colts-R.McDonald-DL

Good stuff. I got a chuckle out of it.

TBH I'll take it.

Quinn to start, Croyle at 2. Brown or Printers at 3. Huard goes to another team and Green retires.

Lets build a QB of our very own and cross our fingers that he turns out better than TB.

I don't know if QB is our biggest problems...

Unless we know green is going to retire and Brodie can't do anything.

Anybody who thinks Quinn is going to be a high caliber NFL starter is high, or didn't see the nationally televised games against high quality opponents where he crapped his shorts.

I also would not mind waiting one more year and making the neccesary trades to ensure we pick up that kid from Hawaii. *cant be bothered to look it up right now*

There seems to be a big gap in the assessment of Quinn. One of the blogs I read have him dropping fast calling him "the next Joey Harrington." The same blog cites Mel Kiper moving him down to 9th in his latest big board.

How many years can we go without a genuine decent reciever? Ever think that the reason Trent is having problems is because only Aging Eddie is the only WR who catches the damn thing?

Sure but the fact that he is 83 years old and just got off a major concussion didnt helpt things las year for him.

Pick up a young QB in the draft and a wide out in FA such as Charles Rogers.

We definately need a QB for the future, but I still think Trent should start next season.
