Pretty alarmist, IMO, but possible.

2.49 here. Down 40 cents over the past 2-3 weeks. I'm expecting a 25 cent spike come Friday...

Agreed, and it sucks. But $2.60 is better than $4.00.

Haven't been to Cheyenne yet this week. Since they have a refinery there it is usually pretty cheap for gas. Here in Scottsbluff it's 2.72. We get hosed here and it's only 90 miles away.

Oddly, I agree with both of these comments.

So, does anyone think gas is gonna just be cheap? Time marches on, shit gets more expensive. Frankly, I paid 79 cents in 1987, it seems reasonable that it would be about 2.00 a gallon.

30 cent drop p/g here in St. Joe Mo... Went from 2.54 Sunday to 2.24 Monday. I believe this is the first time I've ever seen the price drop previous to the Memorial Day weekend.

After Exxon Valdez? The beginning of the Gulf War? Doesn't seem possible...was it some kind of promotion?

No way could it have been the regular price...

Gasoline hovered around the $1.00 mark in 1991.
