Movies

Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

OK movie.

Tom Cruise, great? No. Good, yes. Great, not a chance.

Rented Valkyrie and Defiance.

Both were disappointing.

That is all.

A lot of people hated Australia. I liked it well enough, though.

Watched Burn After Reading over the weekend. Definitely quirky. I liked it ok I guess. The characters kept it interesting, and any movie with a pompous John Malkovich is worth a watch IMO.

Yes it is. Pretty much based solely on that. I used to work in a book store and people were always asking for it cause of the movie

Has anyone seen the trailer for "Jennifers Body" yet? It looks really bad in an insanely entertaining way. I love that its not just your usual japanese remake horror movie like everything has felt lately. Dumb teen slasher flick, with a creative adversary, big time violence and lots of hotness; does it get any better. Anyone else have a preliminary opinion?

I just got done watching Gone, Baby Gone.

Excellent flick. I liked the main actor (his name escapes me).

I think I would have done the same thing he did too.

Casey Afleck, Ben's little bro. He did a great job! I like that flick a lot.

I just watched Trainspotting for the first time, I liked it, that was pretty crazy.

The only thing I disliked about the movie was the NY accents. I'm sure they feel same the way about us midwesterners.

It's a Boston accent they use, but the point is still the same I guess.
