Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

So you think his publicity about it being fake was "ex post facto" cover your ass? I don't really know anything about the situation other than the Letterman interview and his rap career.

And I went in to the movie knowing as much as you (just seeing the Letterman appearance).

The Fighter is awesome.

Bale should be up for best supporting actor no question.

Also rented The Town which is good overall.

It was laughable to watch Jon Hamm (Madmen) play the main detective. He had the Boston accent and all, then later in the film when he was questioning Ben Affleck's character he totally lost the accent in a long scene.

Picked up the original Highlander and Stargate DVD's for 5 bucks each today.

So yeah, that was cool.

Caught True Grit last night.

It was the Coen's touch that made this film for me. There was an underlying humor throughout that was very appropriate. I felt they overplayed Bridges at times, teeing up his lines like a Farnsworth fastball with the game on the line, but overall the cast was outstanding and the dialogue epic. I'd watch it again.

Wife is back on Netflix probation and I might have said some things that were hurtful.

The Fouth Kind
I enjoyed it, had a good flow and seemed like a decent take on sci-fi.

Watched the newer Resident Evil movie not too long ago. I enjoyed it for the most part, but some of the "effects" and whatnot were a little overboard for my liking.

But, regardless, I'm a huge fan and always will be of zombie genre movies.

Blown away by Natalie Portman in Black Swan. The red eyes at the end of the movie were hella cool.

I'm guessing/hoping that she's up for some type of award.

watched Restrepo today while home sick. Great documentary, a must see for anyone interested in the dynamics of war and it's effect of people.
