Candidate Matchmaker

I saw this on the news this morning and thought I'd try it out. MyFoxKC.com (KC Fox 4) has a little survey you take to see which presidential candidate you match up to. I took the test and was very surprised of the results. Political analysts have checked out the test and found it to be pretty accurate. Click the link below to get started.

EDIT: sorry, thought it embedded results, not the test.

Supposedly, my big three are McCain, Huckabee, Guiliani, in descending order. Not tracking me very well.

Yeah, they had me listed with Hillary top when I'm a Ron Paul kinda guy. The news said the test was accurate but I questioned it's authenticity too. I thought it was interesting enough to share though.

Guliani
McCain
Huckabee

I remember the first time in 2007 when I saw one of those debates, I liked Huckabee's 'speaking' better than all else; Guliani just seemed too 'quiet' for me, for lack of a better word.

I was halfway expecting to be aligned with Pat Buchanan, heh.

So, your order...or the quizzes order?

All three are pretty reasonable--I just doubt Huckabee's electability. What do you think of Obama?

Oh, my personal preference, probably;

Guiliani, Thompson, Obama, Richardson, in descending order.
I do have an affinity for some of Paul's positions, but see no way of getting him into the WH absent some kind of magical Paulite fiat.
Though if Hillary or Edwards are the DemNoms, I'd probably go through the whole Rep roster first.

I agree with your thoughts on Paul. I do like Giuliani, personally; I just don't see him as a viable candidate, given the primary process. I think his advisors really screwed him with the strategy they chose.

The other thing with Rudy is, can you imagine the media feeding frenzy over his personal life/history.....the prospects of that drama makes me want to puke. I do think he'd beat Hillary or Edwards, but versus Obama he'd have a tough time IMO.

Fred Thompson
Duncan Hunter
Mike Huckabee
Mitt Romney
Ron Paul
Rudy Giuliani
John McCain

It has Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul too high for me, but other than that it tracks pretty well with my preferences.

WTF?

Knowing I support Fred, what the heck are you so on my case about?

....is it the fact I'm considering alternative scenarios, and mapping my contingencies?

Surely, it is not.....the fact that you are more ideological, and I'm more pragmatic?

That's about right - except that I would never vote for HRC - but that has less to do with policy choice than charactor and leadership.

I agree it would be hypocritical and laughable. I'm just sick and tired of that kind of drama, in politics. Heh. Ironic coming from me, I know.

IMO some of those questions weren't specific enough like the one about illegal immigrants earning citizenship. I think I put no because they just need to go back home period. I am about as far-right as one can be on immigration
