Michael Oher News(Kinda)

http://www.clarionledger.com/apps/pb...801060340/1109

With 10 days remaining until the deadline, Ole Miss offensive lineman Michael Oher has not publicly said whether he will declare for April's NFL Draft or remain in school for his senior season under new coach Houston Nutt.

Oher's guardian, Sean Tuohy, said on Friday that the 6-foot-6, 325-pound junior had not made a decision and likely wouldn't until a few days before Jan. 15, which is the day underclassmen can sign with an agent and declare for the draft.

Oher, who was a first-team Southeastern Conference selection this season, is widely regarded as an elite NFL prospect and could go in the first round if he declares.

Tuohy didn't shed much light on which way Oher was leaning, except to say that "his mom wants him to stay in college, so that's one reason Ole Miss fans should feel good."

Tuohy also said that Oher likes Nutt, but that probably wouldn't factor into his decision.

"I think just about everybody likes coach Nutt," Tuohy said. "But Michael has a difficult decision ahead."

He's staying. I hope I'm wrong, but I think he's staying.

The Tuohy's have more money than God. The motivation to leave early isn't there that there is with most kids.

For some reason, my gut feeling is he'll declare and right now is deciding how to tell his "parents" how he'll finish school.

That's what I'm getting out of it, because if his parents are that rich like you said then the decision would be a no-brainer

Eh...apparently his "parents" have a lot of money by being somewhat intelligent in their own decisions. I know college is important, but he could make more money in one NFL season than some folks make working an average job for 40 years.

And he could shred his knee this last year in college and majorly **** himself, not that he couldn't do the exact same thing in the NFL, but at least he'd have a hellacious bank account anyhow.

I'm all for that.
I doubt we'll be that bad next season that we'll have a shot at him though.
