Clinton Camp: "March 4th is must-win for Obama"

Dear God, the Clinton campaign has already begun spinning their strategy to continue after next Tuesday. And it's disgusting.

Who is Texas and Ohio “must win” for again? Hillary Clinton’s chief surrogate, former President Bill Clinton, has said she has to win both Texas and Ohio. Harold Ickes, a top aide, said, "If we lose in Texas and Ohio, Mrs. Clinton will have to make her decision as to whether she goes forward or not.” Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, a Clinton supporter, said in order to win Pennsylvania, she’s got to win Tuesday.

So Clinton must win, right? Clinton Campaign Chief Strategist Mark Penn today released a memo to the media, though, with the subject, “Obama Must-Wins.”

“If he cannot win all of these states with all this effort, there's a problem,” Penn writes. And not only does he have to win, they have to be “decisive,” according to the memo.

“Should Senator Obama fail to score decisive victories with all of the resources and effort he is bringing to bear, the message will be clear,” Penn continues, “Democrats, the majority of whom have favored Hillary in the primary contests held to date, have their doubts about Senator Obama and are having second thoughts about him as a prospective standard-bearer.”

Kinda like how Florida was a must win for Hillary. Oh wait, she spent all that time in a state that didn't matter. And like Wisconsin (or Michigan, I forget) where it was only her on the ballot.

Those were pretty big must wins for her.

I think it matters not what the voters want in the Demcrat primaries, as much as it matters where the super delegates choose to line up. this is a PR campaign from here if Obama can't put her away, I think.

If Obama wins Ohio or Texas, it's over anyway. The whole reason the Clinton camp moved the goal posts to March 4th was because they thought they were their best chances to win. To now say Obama has to win and win by big margins or else the nomination is Hillary's is disingenuous and silly.

Chuck Todd gave his estimate for March 4th and the best Hillary could hope to gain on Tuesday is a net of 3 delegates in all 4 contests. And she's down over 150+ in pledged delegates. He's going to win the pledge delegate count by a sizable margin even if she competed in every contest from here on out.
