White Sox pitcher going for a 1 run no hitter

Gavin Floyd is six outs away from a no hitter.

It is, however, not a shutout.

By way of a walk, an error, and a sacrifice fly, the Twins were able to get a run across. The White Sox are going to win, but that sucks for Floyd.

How odd is that? I'd be pissed at the left fielder, Carlos Quentin , who had a ball hit him in the glove and bounce out.

I was at a Cards/Braves game in St. Louis years ago where BOTH starters threw no-hitters through 9. The Braves ended up winning in extra innings.

Hot, boring, and an awful ending. Plus I had to put up with my wife's crap (huge Braves fan) all the way back to Chicago.

I hate pitchers' duels.

My favorite game of all time was a pitchers duel.

Jack Morris was seen as one of the most dominant pitchers of the late 1980s. That was in the late 80's or early 90's right? I remember that (I was just a small kid then... probably 8 or so). It was put on a baseball card "commeorating" (sp?) that.
