I just can't imagine how cool it would have been to be doing laps at "The Beast of the Southeast" when I was 8....

Quality time x10 for sure!

A little weird too, they stopped the session to have a memorial for NASCAR tech director Steve Peterson. Apparently he was a huge fan of karting and his wish was for his ashes to be spread on the karting track at charlotte.

So, they went out there and spread his ashes on the track, and then we all took a parade lap before testing resumed. Probably the strangest thing I've ever took part in, for sure.
