INDEPENDENCE, Mo. -- A 26-year-old man who, according to court documents, drove from Evansville, Ind., to Independence to have sex with a mother and her 8- and 10-year-old children was in federal custody Monday.

Michael A. Stratton made a connection with the mother in an Internet chat room, but she was really an undercover Independence Police Department detective conducting an Internet sex sting, according to court documents.

He spoke about incest, sex with minors and sex with animals, according to court documents.

Independence police took Stratton into custody when they said he drove into the place where he was to meet the mother.

If convicted of three federal charges filed against him, he could spend the rest of his life in prison.

When will we see a vigilante killing in this kind of situation? Instead of the police faking a situation, it's some hateful dogooder luring in these scumbags.

Something tells me very few people would lose sleep over that happening. And the scumbags would likely get a more deserving form of justice...
