Evidently the quote, "We grow good people in our small towns, with honesty and sincerity and dignity" from "a writer" in Sarah Palin's acceptance speech was actually from a known racist, McCarthyite, anti-Semite writer named Westbrook Pegler, who is also responsible for this gem, when Robert Kennedy was running for POTUS:

"Some white patriot of the Southern tier will spatter his spoonful of brains in public premises before the snow flies."

This begs the question: What voting demographic was Sarah Palin pandering to?

I saw that on CNN. I think it's much more likely that her speechwriters are like her--stupid and careless, than intentionally anti-Semitic and racist...but you never know

Well I bet if one really tried, one could find a "good and intelligent" sentence or two uttered or written by Adolph Hitler. But one does not use them in one's own speech unless:

A- One is totally ignorant,

B- One is pandering to skinheads,

or

C- All of the above.
