I think most would agree that Barry inherited a mess. He in turn created a much larger mess. What we have now will take much more repair than can be accomplished in four years. Whoever wins this election will be put in a no win situation. This is the ultimate be careful what you wish for proposition.

If Romney wins in four years even if the right decisions are made the American people will feel the brunt of of the pain over the next four years. This will put the left in a see we told you position. The right will be back where they were when W left office. I will say this if either of these guys can tun this ship around before the next election they will go down as the greatest president of all time. The smart money says the next term will be the undoing of whichever party wins. The only good that may come from it will be maybe a third party may finally get some serious consideration~

I disagree with you on the victor of this election being in a no win situation. It's far more likely that the economy's going to add around 10 million jobs over the next four years no matter who's in office. Employment is set to drop like a rock here in a couple years. Whoever wins this election gets to ride that tidal wave of good will to a landslide reelection. I think whoever wins this election is actually in a golden position.

We don't do third parties. We won't do third parties. The systems as it stands will not support sustained third parties with any power. Either a party will replace one of the two main parties or it will remain trivial. This is not a function of a lack of imagination on the part of the voters. It is a necessary reaction to our electoral system. Change the Constitution, you can change how many consequential parties there are. Short of that, forget it.

I honestly believe Mitt's a third party candidate forced by the system to become a traditional republican candidate. It's why I like Mitt, but despise the system.
