Elections **"Official" Voting Wait Times**

Got there at 5:30 am. Polls opened at 6:00 am.

Left the polling place at 6:30 am.

1 hour wait. Very reasonable. I'm in the KC area.

What say you?

30 minutes. Arrived at 7:15, out by 7:45.

New York...there's so many schools in the city where you can vote, so there are plenty of places to go. I heard that the school two blocks down had a line out the street, but the one I went to wasn't too bad. I'm guessing it was bad around 6 when it opened and it will get bad again later in the day.

We need a national law to force state governments to allow early voting, absentee ballots without an excuse, more voting places and booths.

Nevada is a good model. Go vote at the mall, every single government office etc.

Yeah, when I see stories about 5 hour lines, I can't help but think how many people are deterred by that, and it affects both parties.

About 25 minutes in western Shawnee. I got there right at 6:00 am and was out the door at about 6:25. There were probably 75 in line when I got there, but they had 8 voting machines so it went pretty fast.

yes sir

it is a crime that people have to wait in line for hours, with a handful of machines

we claim voting is important...then we make it as difficult at possible to actually do....

Arrived at 7:45. They didn't have my name on the list. They had to call the courthouse. They wrote in my name, I got a ballot, but they only have 2 voting booths so I sat at a table and marked my ballot. Done at 8:05.

Small town life has it's perks.
