I had my best match ever yesterday. 17 kills, 1 death. Only reason I died was because I ran out of ammo. It was pretty sweet. However, I went back to my mediocre self after that.

I think they have it fixed, but discovered something else before it was released. So they pulled the patch to add the other fix. I would bet it will be out by the end of the month.

They need to just allow unlocking of weaps/attachments in private matchse and allow friends to game together without the #*&^@!ing jackasses.

Earlier this week, my Modern Warfare 2 clan, Moo!, jumped online with the goal of extending our consecutive win streak past 12. We managed to hit five wins in a row before running into a group of players in ground war deathmatch who used the care package glitch. Our streak ended in this match, forcing my clan into retirement until Infinity Ward patched the game. I've been itching to get back into the action, but hadn't heard anything lately regarding a fix. Using the magic of a web service called Twitter, I sent Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling this question: "Any updates on the care package patch?" He responded within seconds. "The Care Package Fix patch went to Microsoft for cert on Friday. Not too much longer before it's a thing of the past."


Good news! Given how big of a problem this glitch has been, I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft pushes it through as quickly as they can. I'm guessing we'll see it next week!

The care package glitch is some bullshit. Me and the homeboys will whoop some ass without cheating and then some pillowbitergot **** will start doing that shit.

THen we start doing that shit. Sooner than later you can't go outside because there is a pavelow, chopper gunner, predator missles, and other shit flying around. Shit is making me not want to play the mother****er.

I despise campers who camp just for kills. If you are defending an objective then it's fine. But to stay by my spawn or in dark corners just to get kills, that is pathetic. The reason you see many of them on Xbox Live is because Xbox and PS3 are easily accessible to kids. Not so much on PC versions.

I'll still play MW2, but I'll also play BFBC2 when it comes out. Both are good games.

I'm off Wednesday and Thursday if you guys want to form a squad in BFBC2 and try it out. Teamwork is much more important in BF. So far the only thing I don't like about it is how many times you have to shoot someone before they go down. I've heard there will be a HC mode in the final game.

The bolded above = SPAWN CAMPING, which is totally different and indeed a legit bitch/complaint. If the game has a fixed spawn point (see: CS,TFC, etc.), to camp that position in order to get cheap kills, or worse: to grenade spam that position in order to get cheap kills, is a bannable offense. I've seen that shit completely wreck a game.

To park in a "dark corner" is using stealth; using concealment. Nothing wrong with that. If they camp that position, hey, it's any easy kill for you: you already know where they are at!

You couldn't spawn camp in CS because it was a round-based game (unless you were playing awp_map or something). You didn't respawn until the round was over (like S&D in COD). To this day, I still think CS took the most pure skill to be good at. That was the golden age of mutliplayer FPS.

I don't know, it does piss me off when people camp the corner and shoot me in the back as I go by. I have no issues camping a spawn defending a side (note: very different from killing people as they spawn), though. I will park my ass in one spot and stay there the whole match or until the other team takes it from me. At which point I will take it back or die trying.
