Bush threw them trillions, too. It didn't stop the media from hammering him. They wanted to get their black guy in there I guess.

And when you say "before the election", I take it that you mean for the better part of 8 years before the election.

Never. Bush fugged things up so bad, no one, not even him, the great and powerful O could overcome it. Therefore, we must elect O in 12 for MORE change.

That will be the campaign slogan, MORE change. He could hire Bon Jovi to sing. Living on a prayer, "we're half way there, aaaaaaaaaaahh livin on a prayer, take my hand, we'll make it I SWEAR!".

I'd give it a year. But there are signs the stimulus is starting to take effect...that is if you go by the huge amounts of printed money begun last Sept. Gas is going up, food has gone up. Hold on to your hats. And no, I don't need the cpi to be able to tell. For all we know the govt is probably tinkering with what's included in that as we speak.

damn, it must suck to be stuck in this state of negativity 24/7. the company i work for, which is a freight brokerage, has been having record day after record day in sales. im thinking that things are turning around. i speak to some small businesses that are not doing so well and others who are. the ones who arent are old, unadapting, and basically, obsolete. my ebay business is one that sells luxury type items and is doing better than ever. ive got an employee who is working for me 30 hours a week now. this ****ing economy, i LOVE it. quit all the ****ing bellyaching and get something done. It is interesting...all the whole "do it yourself and don't rely on anyone else to make things happen" crowd are whining all over the place and holding up white flags.

Meanwhile there are a shit ton of people out there doing the hustle and making money. There is so much opportunity out there, it really is an exciting time. Never in history has it been so easy for a single person to connect with masses around the world directly to make money. Find your skill. Package it. Sell it. It is a beautiful thing. Of course if you are sitting around trying to count the ways you can't do it b\c of Obama or the government then come what may.

Helped my Aunt out the other day by taking my cousin to the mall. Could barely find a parking space...

I'm keeping a list.

You took a lot more heat for your mall comment than these guys take for similar comments.

all the malls are going to be ghost towns....at least thats what the liberal media wants you to believe. the liberal media is out there in full force with doom and gloom. fear is our biggest enemy. i know certain parts of the country are in worse shape than others but overall i dont think its that bad. i do find it interesting how a lot of you say the media gives obama a pass but at the same time they are painting pictures of a very desperate time..........
