Very few non-bronco fans can tolerate him. he creates inane threads that are homeristic in nature (his avatar is very apropos), and nobody loves him (not even his own mother)

'face, this can be the home for all knowmo threads so we aren't treated to the bi-weekly steaming 'presents' left by the front door.

Not really. We spotted them 10 points with 4 first half turnovers. If we didn't turn the ball over, Denver would have routed Atlanta. It was obvious to me that the better team lost last night.

Wrong. Atlanta knew they couldn't run the ball against Denver. They had to pass the ball if they wanted to move the ball at all.

Denver lost the game by turning the ball over 4 times so early... then, it took a while for the defense to contain the Falcons.

Atlanta is a very good team, especially at home - a lot of playmakers. They won it. Yes, the refs sucked - but that's not why Denver lost. Denver put themselves in a hole early and while it was only 13-0 at one point, the momentum was lost early.

They still had a chance to win after that horrific start - so that's a positive sign and this road game was a sign of some of the learning curve they're going through with PM and the new offense.

It was a horrible start and they gave one up here that they could have won, but that happens when you play good teams at home.

They certainly did pull back a bit defensively in the second half, which I thought was a mistake... but it didn't cost them.

Denver has the second best run defense in the NFL as far as yards per carry goes. Giving up a paltry 2.6 yards per carry.

If they made no mistakes they would've won!!!!! /knowmo

Hint: The team that makes the least mistakes generally, if not always, wins.

It always cracks me up when people try to spin turnovers as a good thing. Hell, thier superstar QB was floating Huards right to em. The team that wins the turnover battle generally still wins in this league, ESPECIALLY plus friggin 4 A Sizeable lead, Foot removed from gas, try and shorten game, they won. Good Atlanta team, better team won.

@ you trying to play the "If" game. Facts are your aged qb noodle armed his team into a huge deficit that they couldn't overcome.

There are no moral victories in the NFL. Being close doesn't mean shit. You either get it done or you don't. Denver didn't because of a few floaters.

couple of points
1.. Gonzales dropped two passes that end up extending drives into probable scores. Not normal for him

2. although I'd rather have Manning than the crap we have at QB, it is dreadfully obvious that his arm strength is gone. Those receivers were open on the picks, but the ball simply took too long to get there and was on an arc. He will be fine throwing short passes, but down the field not so muchl.
