***Official Knowmo2724 homer-2000 thread***

Very few non-bronco fans can tolerate him. he creates inane threads that are homeristic in nature (his avatar is very apropos), and nobody loves him (not even his own mother)

'face, this can be the home for all knowmo threads so we aren't treated to the bi-weekly steaming 'presents' left by the front door.

I really hope they play both in the post-season. I didn't like that they were front loaded like they were with the really good teams, but it is what it is... Denver has improved a lot since the first month of games. Yes, the schedule has become easier, but I do believe the starts and outcomes of those games with HOU / ATL / NEP would be different.

For the record, I wanted loathsome Donks like Tim Tebow to get injured even when you guys were sucking. Winning has nothing to do with it.

You'll take your lumps and draft one of those BPAs you're always talking about. 10 years later you'll still be without a legit QB.
I don't think you should draft a QB who you don't totally believe in just because you have a need at QB. Not only are you setting your franchise back a few years while you are waiting for him to develop, you are wasting a premium pick when you could have had a good player instead.

I also said that if a QB you really like comes along you should do whatever you can to trade for him. Guys like Cutler, Roethlisburger, Rodgers slip out of the top 10 every once in a while.

IT GIVES ME A FRANCHISE QB WITHOUT SPENDING A SINGLE DRAFT PICK! INTERESTING!"
Denver has had a fairly rough 14 or so years. Not as bad as KC had it but we only have one AFC Championship game appearance. The press Denver got during the McDaniels era wasn't too great either.

I'll tell you what they don't have in common... Curtis Painter and Jim Sorgi weren't drafted to be the heir apparent. They were drafted to hold a clipboard and to assist Manning in his film watching (yes Manning has had his backups watch film and take notes for him)

Brock was also a second round pick who would have been a first round pick had he stayed one more year in college. They have literally nothing in common, aside from the fact that they have backed up Peyton Manning.

You have yet to pop a hole in this argument: If you draft a great non-QB player in the top 5, your team gets better. When your team gets better, they start churning out 6-10 seasons instead of 2-14 seasons. When that happens, the good QBs get taken, and that 6-10 franchise is left to draft more non-QBs. They continue to improve, only ever being hopeful that they can make the playoffs in the last weeks of the season with a 9-7 record. Whereas the team that sucks hard and maybe reaches for a QB plays him, suffers some setbacks, and continues sucking. But guess what? When a REAL QB shows up on their doorstep in future drafts, they're already in a position to go draft him, and they don't have to accept inevitabilities like, "Even if we wanted to go trade up to get this QB, Team X had more trade ammo than we did," or "No team was going to trade out of that spot. We were doomed to be left out of the QB race."

Also, you're ****ing wrong about this year's QBs in the draft. So just shut the **** up.

Denver was fresh off an AFC Championship game appearance when they traded up for Cutler.

And what if you draft a QB who doesn't show much his rookie year and then a better QB prospect is sitting there at your pick the next year? You aren't going to give up on a top 5 pick after one season...
