Apparently, he really believes that what people in this country need is to see MORE of him. It's what happens when you are an arrogant elitist. He simply can't understand why his agenda is being flushed down the crapper by the nation...so it MUST be that we haven't seen enough of him.

The Letterman appearance is perhaps the most embarrassing thing of all. ****ing Letterman. Really??

Good salesman with a horrible product...his ego cannot deal with the fact what he is selling is not what people want and selling it harder and not listening to the people is beginning to make him look foolish.

He's been studying FDR.( really truly). This is his version of fire side chats a la 21st century. Only, more people know better today and already pay hefty taxes than back then when most had little.

It doesn't work when people don't believe you.

And people won't believe you when you tell them you can have something for nothing.

What I don't understand politically is what the Obama team thinks they're going to get from these efforts? What more can he do or say? People have heard his pitch and they're not buying. Does he really think going on Letterman is going to get people who have seen his previous 100+ talks on the subject to change their mind?

He needs a new product, not a new venue.

He's a celebrity with a cult of personality and not a leader. Many of us knew this before he got elected. I think even the hopiate addicted are beginning to come around a bit.

Some people will believe him though. You see that daily on this board. I tell ya' it's a religion to them....a secular humanist religion of the state.
Hence the suspension of reality.

He could say anything to the far-left. It's the independents he's losing.

Not just on health care either.

When you decide we need to change defensive programs or diminish our nuclear deterrance for no reason other than a personal belief that the world would be better without them you lose support across the board.
