I have to agree. Some of his comments after Katrina were the kind that would get most any conservative labled as a racist. I don't know if the new mayor will be better for the city but surely he can't be any worse.

I wonder if the serious changes in NO's demographics are a significant part of the cause. I would imagine so, but I havent' paid much attention to what is going on down there in a while.

What are the serious changes in the demographics? All the freeloaders moved out and the conservatives stuck it out and rebuilt?
