Life Smellympics: Round 1, Heat 1

Okay, the Chiefsplanet Smellympics is about to begin.

We have 140 candidates for the best smell in the world.* Note that many of the smells may be variants of other smells on the list, but I figured that if something is slightly different due to a different combination, I'll keep them both.

We'll run 14 Round 1 heats on a semi-daily schedule, and the smells that finish in the top half of each heat will move to Round 2 (70 smells). Same thing there to cut it to 35, again to get to 16, then to 8, 4, 2, and we'll crown a champion from there. In each round I'll randomly shuffle the candidates.

Each heat will stay up for a minimum of two days, including one weekday. (A lot will depend on my schedule, too.)

So put on your smelling hats and get to work. Poll forthcoming if you're downwind.

*Perfumes and colognes have been eliminated from the competition since they serve no other purpose. Edited from 141 to 140 since I had one smell double-listed.

This should be renamed the meat domination poll.

I'd bet anything Arrowhead wins this contest. It'll come down to Arrowhead and vagina.

Yeah, before it is smoked, it is one of the best smelling things in the world.

Sometimes I wish I could get nose implants of that smell.

If it was suggested and does not emanate from rectal area, it will be on the list. Marijuana (sigh) is on the list both pre-smoked and in the smoking phase.

Who in the hell thinks Play-Doh smells good? And 'new car' smell is a toxic combination of gases emanating from the plastics and vinyl used in the interior.
