Former NFL wideout gets suspended by AFL for fan incident

Now that real football has returned, we haven't paid as much attention to other types of football, such as the Arena Football League.

But maybe we should.

Former NFL wideout Bobby Sippio has been suspended for one game, and teammate Julius Wilson has been suspended for six, after entering the stands in connection with a fan altercation. Both play for the Orlando Predators.

It wasn't quite Pistons-Pacers; Wilson threw a ball to his father. Another fan slapped the ball out of Wilson's father's hands, and a different fan knocked Wilson's father down.

The Predators play Jacksonville in the AFL playoffs. Sippio will be allowed to play pending his appeal; Wilson will be suspended immediately.

Sippio, 29, played for the Dolphins in 2004 and the Chiefs in 2007.

Ya I had a coach in high school who made an AFL team. He started DB one or two years at Mid America Nazerene. I don't think you have to be that good to play in the AFL.
