Life I made a mistake

I was in the midst of taking a long, refreshing shower today when I saw that my mother had purchased a new bottle of axe. We have used Axe soap before, so I thoughtlessly put a generous amount in my hand and began to lather my essentials. After putting a liberal amount on my legs, I moved upward and began to cover my bait and tackle. Once that area was covered in a copious amount of soap, I began to move up towards my stomach. But, in the next few seconds, I realized there was something had gone terribly wrong, this is because I felt an intense burning from my tackle box. Grabbing the axe soap, I took a breath when I saw this message on the front.

"Contains Menthol."

Anyways, as I type this to you it feels as if my bollocks are somewhere in between cloud nine and the lake of fire. It's similar to taking one too many tablets of dentyne ice.

Can Chiefsplanet offer up any wisdom in my time of need?

This is serious! You have to immediately remove any residue from the area with a steel wool pad to ensure maximum removal, and to offset any onset of infection, pour vinegar on the area. Hurry, there is no time to lose!

I suggest using a hard cheese grater to scrape off the film left behind and then rinsing it off with some acetone.
