Chiefs So What Is Our Toxic Differential?

Toxic Differential....

It is the simple combination of a teams turnover differential and their explosive play differential. (explosive plays being defined as 20+ yds.)

The top teams to this point this year...

1. Steelers +31
2. Eagles +30
3. Chargers +19
4. Bucs +18
5. Falcons +17
6. Giants +16

I didn't figure those....duhhhh...I don't know where to get the explosive plays stats at or I would have done the Chiefs.

So what's the Chiefs Toxic Differential?

We're + 7 in turnover differential.

I can't think of more than a few plays that went for more than 20 yards. Bowe had that TD that was all RAC against Houston, and the flea flciker against SF.

I'm sure there have been a few more, but not many.

I'm guessing somewhere around +12/+13 overall.

Obviously, we're no higher than +15 or we would have made the graphic.

You'd have to also count the plays of 20 or more yards that our defense gave up. I'm guessing the explosive plays differential for KC is negative.

I think the explosive plays include the running plays also and RAC doesn't count against it.(This isn't about Cassel)

Explosive plays = KC rush - opp rush + KC pass - opp pass = 13 -5 + 32 - 35 = +5

Total toxic differential = +12

Damn, only 5 rushing plays over 20 yards allowed this season. I wonder how many they gave up a year ago?
