Anyone here try the Vibram Five Finger [Toed] Shoes, yet?

I got a pair for Christmas, well a couple days before Christmas... and they are by far, the most comfortable shoe that I've ever worn.

I have flat feet, and so standing properly in shoes has always been a challenge... but the way these shoes are constructed, my feet are perfectly in the right place, for like the first time ever.

Our revolutionary design makes feet healthier by allowing them to move more naturally and freely.

The typical human foot is an anatomical marvel of evolution with 26 bones, 33 joints, 20 muscles and hundreds of sensory receptors, tendons and ligaments. Like the rest of the body, to keep our feet healthy, they need to be stimulated and exercised.
So, I've elected to not wear shoe mittens anymore and I've evolved my footwear.

This isn't my review... but I feel the same.

Not at first... but I do wear them most of the time. And since I have flat feet, putting "regular shoes" on feels a bit weird now.

I'm ordering a more conventional black on black pair soon.

I've been tempted to buy them for running because they're supposedly easier on the knees, but then I heard that in long distance running they make one more prone to shin splints. I'm still intrigued, but in running you apparently either have to go with traditional shoes or barefoot shoes, and can't mix and match.

Go try on a pair at a store near you... but MAKE sure to buy socks... they add to the comfort level.

I'm not really a runner, but they my joints and ligaments so 'springy' that I am more nimble and move faster in them.

Here is Tim Ferriss' POV on them.

I do work out barefoot most of the time, I find that it's a more complete workout that way.

I want to try them. Going to wait until Spring. Dragging myself out the door for a run in 20 degree weather is hard enough with socks and shoes on.

Dick..

I run barefoot at the park so those were recommended for me, but my feet do not fit in any of the shoes.. Size 13 My big toe is cramped, size 14 and my smaller toes will not even make it to the start of the toes..

Everyone that I do know that wears them loves em... Very popular shoe right now for natural runners..

you will love them then. It is like mini-armor for your feet. Right on the important parts of your sole.
