Cassel did, does, and will always suck
I had backed off on my Cassel hate in the second half of the season because he actually started to play with a modicum of competence. But I never stopped being wary of him, because he was playing well against shitty, shitty ****ing teams.

But today is proof positive that Cassel is NOT the answer. He will NOT be a franchise quarterback. He simply doesn't have the ability or the intelligence that is required. He never really progressed this season; he just managed to not shit himself against the NFC West.

Can we all just agree that he's not the answer? Please?

If Cassel can play EVERY GAME like he played in 2010 against the Rams or Seahawks...

We can win a playoff game or two and have as good a chance at making the superbowl as the 49ers (or the Texans prior to Shaubs injury) did last year.

At the end of the day, I think we win one playoff game with Stanzi as the qb after Cassel gets pulled game 6.

I'd wager money that Stanzi playing all but guarantees a non-playoff appearance. And I'm not hating.

He only takes over if Cassel goes 0 or 1 for whatever, and then Quinn would have to put up similar results.

Even if Stanzi takes over a team with an ideal ~.500% record, it's asking a lot for a young QB that is known to make Favre-esque decisions to put together a multi-game winning streak.

Again, not hating. Stanzi needs to play this season to determine whether or not a QB needs to be drafted next year. I just don't think it's likely he plays or does anything to impress after one whole season of being in the NFL.
