Cassel did, does, and will always suck

I had backed off on my Cassel hate in the second half of the season because he actually started to play with a modicum of competence. But I never stopped being wary of him, because he was playing well against shitty, shitty ****ing teams.

But today is proof positive that Cassel is NOT the answer. He will NOT be a franchise quarterback. He simply doesn't have the ability or the intelligence that is required. He never really progressed this season; he just managed to not shit himself against the NFC West.

Can we all just agree that he's not the answer? Please?

Was today the first football game you've ever watched, or something?
You need to mesh with someone to throw the ball to an open receiver? Someone let Rivers, Manning, and Brady know this. They are getting it all wrong.

It doesn't do any good to whine over and over about Cassel. He had a great year up until 8 days ago, and now that he's had two bad games in a row, you guys have made ANOTHER 180 degree turn and you've decided that he sucks again.

The fact is that the Chiefs have some gaping holes that need to be filled before they do anything else. They need offensive line help, they need a receiver (maybe two), they need linebacker help, and they need fans who don't go on a suicide watch after a 4-12 team improves to 10-6 in a single season.

We get it. You hate Cassel. You don't need to say it 10,000 times.

Yep. They were put in a bind with Cassel's turnovers the whole second half and only gave up field goals until the clincher.

Ummmm..... if you watched Manning this season when his receivers all went down, he threw 11 picks in 3 games.

Thanks for helping to make my point.

Just practically speaking.... Last year he was terrible, first of the year he was terrible and we were calling for his head, mid season, he seemed to gain confidence and made some good things happen through the Rams game (like an out of body experience) then the Raiders and this game.....terrible again. Not just not good, like really, really bad. I became hopeful. Terrible inconsistency. Usually really good quarterbacks have a really bad game or two, but like 70 total passing yards? how many games now? Even if Weis called an absolutely horrific herm game. still

To be fair to Cassel's TO's only 1 of them put them put the D in a bind. The first INT was fumbled and given right back to the Chiefs. His second one was brutal. His 3rd INT saved the D yards. They were all terrible though.

That's such a load of crap. People are pissed that we lost, and are here to vent. Cassel is an obvious target, particularly because he was exactly what some Chiefs fans feared he would be in a big game vs a tough opponent.

It's jack-offs like you that think every football discussion is divided by black and white.

Pretty sure he still completed 70% of his passes while throwing those INTs.

Thanks for being a dumbass.

Cassel isn't young. How many more years are you going to give him? Physically speaking, he has already reached his athletic peak.

This, he is going to be 29 yo next year. Not exactly a young gun or a guy with ample playing experience. He has heart I can give him that, but most guys playing in the game have heart. I so want to draft a QBotf Damnet!!!

Just got back from the game. The only way I was going to be upset at a Chiefs loss today was if Cassel played like crap. And he did. His play was brutally dispiriting and removes any doubt from my mind about him being too mentally soft to be a playoff-winning QB. He was unequivocally awful.

So was the playcalling and offensive gameplan, so I am not sad to see Weis go. But No one within 15 rows of my seats in section 122 today was left with a reason to be confident about Matt Cassel. We were a bunch of mopey mother****ers after the game.
