Chiefs Cassel did, does, and will always suck - Page 34

I had backed off on my Cassel hate in the second half of the season because he actually started to play with a modicum of competence. But I never stopped being wary of him, because he was playing well against shitty, shitty ****ing teams.

But today is proof positive that Cassel is NOT the answer. He will NOT be a franchise quarterback. He simply doesn't have the ability or the intelligence that is required. He never really progressed this season; he just managed to not shit himself against the NFC West.

Can we all just agree that he's not the answer? Please?

The Chiefs weren't/aren't ready for prime time. We all knew that. We got exactly what we should've expected: a young rebuilding team with no big game experience gave it away to a veteran playoff team. They don't have the talent to compete at that level yet, and they don't have the seasoning to compete at that level yet. Maybe they will in 2011, after the infusion of a little bit more talent on both sides of the ball.

As for Cassel, still not a fan. Didn't want the guy, don't want the guy, but he's who we've got, and we'd better hope he's more like the good 2010 Cassel going forward, and less like the bad 2009/2010 Cassel. I'm not trying to defend him, just trying to make the point that laying this one on his shoulders is taking it way too easy on everybody else.

I agree. Kid has done well in the crucial moments(sometimes), but the overall body of work is quite "meh".

If Pete Carroll can get his players motivated, get his coordinators to call a good game, and then have the players execute, there is no reason for KC to come out and look as bad as they did.

He didn't shit himself when it mattered most and they won the game. Thats all that matters. Hell I would have took Cassel's performance yesterday if it meant we had won the game.

edit. 3 for 40 yards.

the only reason they were in the position they were in was due to his horrible play for the first 59 minutes of the game.

Sanchez throws a sideline route that Edwards goes up for and makes a really nice grab getting both feet in bounds. Cassel throws two of those yesterday and the receivers can't get their 2nd feet in. It happens. Sanchez wouldn't have won the game for KC yesterday.

Sanchez has been in the league 2 years, has 3 playoff wins, just beat the Colts on the road, was responsible for a game winning drive with 53 secs to do it....and he sucks..his QB rating was 3 times Cassel, he threw for twice as many yards, and 2 less ints....on the road

Cassel is 28, has been a starter for 3 years, puts up a 20 QB rating and 3ints at home.....and he's the awesome future of our franchise
