Cassel did, does, and will always suck

I had backed off on my Cassel hate in the second half of the season because he actually started to play with a modicum of competence. But I never stopped being wary of him, because he was playing well against shitty, shitty ****ing teams.

But today is proof positive that Cassel is NOT the answer. He will NOT be a franchise quarterback. He simply doesn't have the ability or the intelligence that is required. He never really progressed this season; he just managed to not shit himself against the NFC West.

Can we all just agree that he's not the answer? Please?

It's total ****ing horseshit that we traded our franchise away for a career ****ing backup. We went out and got THEEE BIGGEST Blah/Bleh/Stuck in the middle of mediocrity-pile of shit we could have possibly acquired, just because the ****ing GM had a previous, cozy relationship with the mother****er.
Traded our franchise away? What?

win #2, as a rookie, still 3x better than 29 year old Cassel after 3 years

you ever going to deal the facts of the matter?

where's that pats fan to give us another sanctimonious lecture about how we don't deserve any better....based on this thread, it's seems to be working...
So you obviously think we'd be winning with Mark Sanchez.

Traded our opportunity for a franchise QB away, I mean.

The position is THAT important, so it might as well be "our franchise" IMO.

Sanchez sucks too. People can get over him already. Flacco had 3 wins with 1 TD pass before the chiefs game

Mark Sanchez is not a franchise QB.

If we passed on Aaron Rodgers, Philip Rivers, then I could see this freak out.

Very well. How about signing the Vet, cleaning Thigpen/Croyle out, finding a promising later-round guy, and holding on to the big money for a good prospect to come along last year, this year, or next year?

Mark Sanchez and Matt Cassel are as close to the same QB as you can get. Sanchez has the fortune of QB'ing for a team with a much better D that can keep them in the game even when he's shitting his pants. I dont think we'd be winning with Sanchez nor do I feel that he's a franchise QB. However, I do see the significance in the fact that Sanchez just recently turned 24 and Cassel is about to turn 29. How many looks does a career backup need before you say to yourself "maybe there was a reason he was sitting on the bench his whole career."

I wouldn't be against that at all, but it's just not going to happen.

They are going to point to the inflated stats and his progress this year as reasons to pay the bonus. Hamas predicted this would happen.

I'm not totally against moving forward with Cassel because I've accepted that reality and it's not going to change.

Yeah, we're stuck in the gutter. Jeez, even Green Bay's backups are more upside-oriented than Cassel. BOTH of them!

This ****ing sucks.

1st playoff game ever....ignore wtf he has done all season and ignore the fact that the team had no business even making the playoffs i think we should be a bit thankful that we are ahead of schedule
