Cassel did, does, and will always suck
I had backed off on my Cassel hate in the second half of the season because he actually started to play with a modicum of competence. But I never stopped being wary of him, because he was playing well against shitty, shitty ****ing teams.

But today is proof positive that Cassel is NOT the answer. He will NOT be a franchise quarterback. He simply doesn't have the ability or the intelligence that is required. He never really progressed this season; he just managed to not shit himself against the NFC West.

Can we all just agree that he's not the answer? Please?

When/if he gets his dropback mechanics right, those passes should have a little better zip, which should eliminate the near interception he threw on his second slant attempt.

The first one was a clear (missed) interference on Williams.

I only watched the first drive last night due to other things I had going on, but Cassel looked alright. Like milk said, he struggles with footwork. Other than that it was a decent drive got some points out of it at least.

Yeah Sanchez can make the occasional big throw, but honestly how far does that get you?

Is it good enough to win a championship? I don't think so. I like a quarterback that can always come through and deliver in the clutch.

I'm not a fan of Sanchez. If it weren't for him they'd have at least one Super Bowl appearance by now. The Jets have a lot of talent and good coaching, thankfully they'll never be a threat because of their QB. You could say the same for us too though. It just reiterates what we already know...it's a QB league. If you don't have a franchise QB, you're just playing to play, while the teams that do have them are playing to win Super Bowls.

I don't know about this. Freeman was pretty impressive last season, but definitely not in the very good or great category.

Sanchez is what he is right now.

A guy that is supremely average in the regular season; and allows his defense and running game to carry him into the post season. Then something clicks and he becomes a competent QB. He becomes a gamer. Which is something he primarily is not during the regular season. It's great that he can turn it on at the most important time of year, but concerning that he's just a middle of the pack 15-20 type QB during the bulk of his playing time.
