Cassel did, does, and will always suck

I had backed off on my Cassel hate in the second half of the season because he actually started to play with a modicum of competence. But I never stopped being wary of him, because he was playing well against shitty, shitty ****ing teams.

But today is proof positive that Cassel is NOT the answer. He will NOT be a franchise quarterback. He simply doesn't have the ability or the intelligence that is required. He never really progressed this season; he just managed to not shit himself against the NFC West.

Can we all just agree that he's not the answer? Please?

Cassel is the prototypical Chiefs quarterback.

I have now resigned myself to countless more years of unfulfilled hopes and dreams.

I'm in NO WAY supporting Cassel as the guy our franchise should stick with long-term. BUT...he did a good job today.

He did a great job picking apart that tough Indy defense!

The O-Line did an outstanding job of protecting Cassel in this game, specifically of containing Mathis and Freeney.

Cassel, for the most part, had all kinds of time to stare down his primary receiver until he opened up.

I was impressed with Albert and Richardson. They basically neutralized Freeney and Mathis most of the game. Two weeks in a row for Albert against some of the best pass rushers in the NFL. Maybe now the doubters can stop wishing for a LT in the 1st every year.

The oline did play well. Freeney only got by Albert 1 time that I remember. If Hudson can play C and they will hopefully replace richardson with Gaither, we are 1 lineman away from having a very solid oline. I really like Asamoah so far. We need a LG who can really bring some nastiness to the line.

Asamoah has so far been everything we hoped he would be. Makes me glad we got rid of Waters so we could start him.

How about the people that just want us to address our biggest need in the draft?

I'm not huge on the "shuck it all for Luck" bandwagon but I think this is definitely the year we need to address the QB position.

And by that I mean cut/trade Casshole and move on. COMPLETELY.

Cut palko (lower case for emphasis) and keep Stanzi.

Draft the best prospect we can and sign the best vet we can.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Cassel did well today but the Chiefs need a FRANCHISE QB, period. The good to great teams in the NFL all have that. Cassel would be a stud backup, or a great game manager if we had an epic defense
