Cassel did, does, and will always suck

I had backed off on my Cassel hate in the second half of the season because he actually started to play with a modicum of competence. But I never stopped being wary of him, because he was playing well against shitty, shitty ****ing teams.

But today is proof positive that Cassel is NOT the answer. He will NOT be a franchise quarterback. He simply doesn't have the ability or the intelligence that is required. He never really progressed this season; he just managed to not shit himself against the NFC West.

Can we all just agree that he's not the answer? Please?

That's how most QBs look good.

LOL no shit!

But,

he didnt do it all on is own with the entire OL collapsing around him every play...plus we were only down by 17 its not like we were down by 24 or more...It would take a REAL qb to come back from a 24 point deficit by himself....he had too much help to consider this a good performance..

Chicago and the Jets have certainly been nothing special. We should win 3 games out of the division, we may even take Denver twice. I don't think this team goes in the tank with the certainty we had a few weeks ago.

I know many are rooting for the Chiefs to lose, but sorry, they don't suck enough. That doesn't mean we don't get our QBotF.

Even if we don't suck enough for luck and don't wanna trade up for him, we could trade less picks and get up to get one of the other guys we like.

No, most good QBs, not necessarily great, just good, make more than one read.

Cassel stared down his receiver on each of his passes.

Further, how many passes did Cassel throw that traveled further than 10 yards in the air?

3?

If they have to yeah. If the first guy is open should he look to to his next read just to do it?

If he's having to stare down his primary target, then yes.

It worked out today because they opened up, but we've seen how it works far too often.

And the fact is,there was one sack and a couple pressures that were the direct result of the staredown today.

That Colts pass defense is beyond awful. You aren't going to get away with throwing slants all day, because not every team has midget corners who can't press and have no ball skills.

Sadly, this argument is most likely an exercise in insanity, as the majority of this team's fans will gladly take a win against a bottom feeder in hand over a franchise QB in the bush. They are just too damned short-sighted to ever see these long-term events for what they are.

Just watched the highlights. Cassel looked off the primary several times. Sorry. Cassel had a good game. Agree?

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I agree they were horrible. A better D backfield doesn't allow those slants all day.
