It needs to be at least 25% cheaper than a new one and be in good condition or it isn't worth it. You have no idea how the gun has been treated, how many rounds have been ran through it, etc. Guns are like car audio and airplanes: people usually embelish or bend the truth. Besides, an extra $100 for full warranty and peace of mind is worth every penny. |

They have a ton of used Glocks, all police trades. Which means some holster wear, but very little actual use. This is where I got my H&K.

Police trade in Glocks are usually a good buy, but the .45 models disappear so soon it'll make your head spin. If he's in no hurry, this fellow over in Grain Valley sells a lot of cop trade ins. Might find a good deal: http://summitgunbroker.com/GLOCKS.html
that'll teach me to share links w/Frazod. He beat me to it.

I have probably shot 2500+ rounds through my M&P. I did take mine to the police academy, where I shot 1k of those rounds. If someone bought a duty pistol after an academy, it'll definetly have a low round count.

FWIW - I got a really good deal on the gen 3 version of the Glock 37 thru Bud's as they were moving to the next generation - it shoots the Glock Auto Pistol 45 (45 GAP) round. A slightly shorter case than the 45 ACP = a little smaller grip. Better fit for a lot of folks. Good accuracy, recoil is sharp, but no biggie to me. About the only drawback is that not every Wal-Mart will have the 45 GAP ammo. I just buy my ammo online, and am working up enough empty cases to get one of my reloading buddies to run up reloads. The ammo is a little higher than 'cheap' 45 ACP, but frankly, when you put .45 holes in bad guys, the lead just costs mo' money than your 9mm. End of story.
Anyway, if you're looking to put a "spendy as the next fellow .45 caliber hole" in the bad guy AND you find a good price on the pistols (37 = 'full size', 38 = like a G19 mid size, 39 = tiny) I'd give 'em a thumbs up for performance, carry. Not so much on the ease of resupply. When these first came out, a lot of other gun makers put out a 45 GAP pistol but that seems to have dropped off. Like a lot of other good ideas in the gun world, it still has to be 'sexy' to sell. Practical won't always do. * (price for the 37 now matches everything else, so no longer a great bargain) http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/p...k+Fixed+Sights Also - these folks carry a very nice-for-the-price Glock retention paddle holster made in Israel, about $17 from these guys - under another label, same holster will be more. One more cheap holster for Glocks recco. This one is BY Glock. Doesn't look like much BUT it holds the gun well, rides close and high. Probably the best bang for the buck I've ever spent on holsters.

What would y'all reasonably expect to pay for a new Sig p229 .40 with night sites and 12 round clip?

I have an AR lower and I'm getting pretty close to building. Only issue is deciding what to build it for at this time...I'm leaning towards a light, mobile coyote gun.
