Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

Oh ya,they are dangerous. Bat shit crazy came with a lot of bumps & bruises along the way.
None were as bad as some of the burns I have gotten over the years playing with old steam equipment.

I hope I'm set with my Norinco SKS, Smith .38 Chief's Special, Smith Model 19 .357, Winchester .308 lever, Marlin 30-30, Marlin .22, an assortment of Spiderco knives, some brass knucks, and bear spray.

Traded my Smith 9mm for a new furnace last year, would like to get a .45 auto.

Cabela's finally got in the value packs of UMC .40. Grabbed them while I could (250 rds for $90). Brownell's, as pissed as I am at them, had Hornady Zombie .223 for about 3 hours the other day and managed to swipe all fo 40 rounds of that.

Always thought it would be cool to have a box of the Zombie rounds to have on the shelf for novelty factor.

Its a damn shame when that is all that is left to choose from though.

I'm told the local Cabelas has .223 in stock for a normal prices. I'm going to head up there tomorrow morning and hope they still have some left.

Wish it wasn't 45 minutes away.

What is "normal price" up there?

I've been grabbing up .223 20-rd boxes for about 11 bucks in Virginia.
