When did Janes start handicapping potential wars? Is there an online gambling site that takes these kinds of wagers?

And even though what you say isn't true, if it was, Israel would still be justified to pre-empt Egypt under the circumstances in 1967 instead of sitting back and waiting to be attacked.

No I'm not. Here's my first post to you:

"I could have sworn that it all started in Tunisia when some dude set himself on fire in protest of some wrong done him (that had nothing to do with Iran).

Am I wrong?"

So, was Tunisia the spark for Egypt or not?
It was the spark. I can spark my lighter, but that spark doesn't ignite a bonfire unless there are a lot of other factors that were already put into place.

He's been talking about it every day for about two weeks, pat. I listen to his show every day.

The idea that Islamic radicalism is forging an ideological bridge with liberals to take the world by storm is about the goofiest thing you could be advocating.

Please clarify what you're suggesting and set me straight.

Did you see any Iranian flags?

I completely agree. You and I continue to be on the same page.

I saw Egyptian tweets referencing how they were continuing the spirit of the Green Revolution.

But I guess it doesn't count because that wasn't a flag.

Oh that? Well, IIRC, I asked that question because I was inquiring about why Iranians would want to do such a thing. In order to garner international support.

Not as much as being out on the streets publicly, no. Just like your digital support for Palestinians.

I'm not advocating that, although I don't think it's nearly as far fetched as you do.

I'm just saying that poor people in the third world have a history of being lured by the siren song of socialism when economic times are tough and when they're coming out from under the heel of a repressive dictatorship. Islamist populism might appeal to the more religious folks, but for the "secular" crowd socialism is a bigger danger. The one thing that we have going for us now, as opposed to 25 years ago is that there is no longer a Soviet Union actively trying to export the international socialism revolution. The thing that we don't have going for us is that our President is comfortable with socialism and most likely doesn't see it as a negative.

I don't really give a F what happens to those people as long as it has no negative effect on MY people. the United States should look out for #1 and only involve itself when it directly benefits the United States. I'd take the phone off the hook when a non-friend has an earthquake.

I'm a socialist.....that is EXACTLY what people would call me. I'd let non-producers like you starve in a pile of your own soiled head diapers. Socialize that.

now, can they add and multiply... oops badly phrased, cause our problem in the US is that they do multiply....
